Our New York office represented Dividend Finance LLC in its second securitization of consumer loans to finance the purchase of solar energy systems and the first solar ABS transaction to use vertical risk retention.
This deal was voted “Best Esoteric Deal” at GlobalCapital’s fifth annual US Securitization Awards dinner. The results were determined from nominations, peer review among industry participants, and research from GlobalCapital.
The team was led by Andrew Coronios and included Li Litombe, Raisa D'Oyley, Patrick Dolan, Christy Rivera, Marjorie Glover, William Cavanagh, Richard Leder and Heather Behrend (New York).

After a lacklustre finish to 2022 when compared to the vintage year for M&A that was 2021, dealmakers expected 2023 to see the market continue to cool in most sectors, in response to the economic headwinds of rising inflation (with its corresponding impact on financing costs), declining market valuations, tightening regulatory scrutiny and increasing geopolitical tensions.
